Визначено завдання експерименту, сформульовано гіпотезу експерименту, описано структуру проведення експерименту, наведено та проаналізовано результати перед- та післяекспериментальних зрізів. У результаті проведеного експериментального дослідження доведено ефективність розробленої методики навчання майбутніх філологів розуміння невербальних засобів комунікації у творах сучасної англомовної художньої літератури.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article deals with the results of the experimental efficiency testing of teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals in contemporary English fiction. The author defines the tasks of the methodological experiment, formulates the hypothesis of the experiment, describes the structure of the experiment, presents and analyses the results of the data of experimental efficiency testing at pre-experimental and post-experimental stages. While preparing for the experiment the following hypothesis was suggested: the process of teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals in contemporary English fiction is going to be effective if consider 1) the principles of selecting texts for teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals; 2) the sub-system of exercises that was specifically developed; 3) the form of introducing teaching-learning materials. To measure the quality of the methodological experiment which was carried out we used the Bespalko coefficient. It was supposed that at the end of experimental teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals in contemporary English fiction the level of their competence in this field will equal or beat the Bespalko coefficient (0,7). The experiment was conducted within three groups of 3-year students (37 students in general) at Sumy State Pedagogical University. The methodological experiment consisted of three stages: 1) pre- experimental testing; 2) experimental teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals in contemporary English fiction; 3) post-experimental testing. The tasks of the pre- and post-experimental stages were designed according to the same principles and consisted of identical tasks. The results prove that the experimental teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals in contemporary English fiction was effective as the data beat the Bespalko coefficient. The results taken within the groups of students who were taught according to different variants of experimental teaching (which differ with the form of introducing learning materials) are comparatively equal. It proves that the students who took part in the experiment can be characterised by the high level of learning autonomy. The results of the experimental teaching will be considered while developing the methodical recommendations concerning teaching future philologists to understand non-verbal signals in contemporary English fiction.uk_UA
