dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуто зміст навчання дорослого населення на прикладі програм додаткової освіти дорослих декількох університетів Великої Британії: університету Глазго (Шотландія), Кембриджського університету, університету Дербі, Лондонського університету, Ноттінгемського університету, Ліверпульського університету. У статті використано методи дослідження: теоретичні (аналіз філософської, педагогічної, психологічної літератури); інтерпретаційно-аналітичний метод; метод порівняльно-історичного аналізу. На основі представленого матеріалу зроблено висновок, що у Великій Британії для навчання дорослого населення в університетах створені факультети або відділення подальшої професійної освіти, на яких працюють різноманітні курси як коротко-, так і довгострокові, на яких створюються умови для здійснення подальшого професійного розвитку дорослих, адже програми курсів забезпечують висококваліфіковані фахівці.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractEducation throughout life, especially in developed countries, is becoming increasingly important in the field of educational services. Adult education is the most mobile area. To ensure the efficiency of content of adult education, it should be open, and its organization should allow for virtually continuous adjustment of curricula and plans. The peculiarity of adult education is, above all, that its contingent is the elderly citizens involved in the field of employment. The content of adult education is illustrated by the example of adult education programs of several universities in the United Kingdom: University of Glasgow (Scotland), Cambridge University, University of Derby, University of London, Nottingham University, Liverpool University. On the basis of the presented material, it is concluded that in the United Kingdom, for training of adults, universities have created departments or Institutes for further vocational education, which employ various courses, both short-term and long-term, which create conditions for further professional development of adults, because programs of courses are provided by highly skilled specialists. The courses use the following forms of work: lectures, seminars, evening classes, summer classes, online classes, group work, discussions, conferences, presentations, essay writing, scientific papers, and reports. As a result of training, an adult can receive: a certificate of postgraduate education or a diploma of postgraduate education. The programs of training and advanced training in the department of further vocational education help increase the efficiency of the organizations through constant professional development of the population received by those who acquire knowledge, enhance motivation and technical capabilities; increasing professionalism of specialists. The aim of the article is to consider the content of adult education on example of adult education programs of several universities in the UK: University of Glasgow (Scotland), Cambridge University, University of Derby, University of London, Nottingham University, Liverpool University. The article uses research methods: theoretical (analysis of philosophical, pedagogical, psychological literature); interpretive-analytical method; method of comparative-historical analysis. The groups of knowledge necessary for an adult student are distinguished: practical knowledge of the process; actual knowledge; theoretical knowledge. The criteria for selecting the content of the program of additional vocational education are offered: requirements of professional practice; significance of the topic from the point of view of professional practice; significance for the profession; practical orientation. The content of training corresponding to these selection criteria will meet the urgent needs of an adult student who is counting on the urgent application of the acquired knowledge and skills in practice, which will undoubtedly contribute to success of the entire learning process.uk_UA
