dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуті теоретичні аспекти та методичні положення дослідження водно-болотних угідь, динаміка їх чисельності у світі та Україні. Отримані результати свідчать, що на території України знаходиться 50 міжнародних водно-болотних угідь та 19 перспективних, два з яких подані на розгляд до Рамсарського Секретаріату. Особлива увага приділяється угіддям, що знаходяться в межах Сумської області, а саме міжнародному – Заплава Десни та перспективним – Заплава Сули, заплава середньої частини річки Псел (Ворожбянське), верхів’я річки Битиця (Вакалівське), заплава Ворскли (Ворсклянське). У висновку автори говорять про необхідність дослідження заплави річки Сейм як найбільш заболоченої території в регіоні, що потребує детального моніторингу для визнання її, як перспективного водно-болотного угіддя України.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article focuses on wetlands as unique objects that are natural reservoirs and filters for fresh water treatment and require conservation and protection. The purpose of the article is to analyze the number of wetlands in the world and Ukraine and to characterize the wetlands of Sumy region. It is found that about 6% of the earth's surface is occupied by wetlands, the total volume of wetlands in the world is about 11 thousand km3, which is five times higher than the one-time volume of river runoff. It is established that as of February 25, 2020, the List of International Wetlands, as agreed by the Ramsar Convention, includes 2,388 wetlands with a total area of 253.87 million hectares. The results show that in Ukraine there are 50 international wetlands and 19 prospective territories, two of which are submitted to the Ramsar Secretariat, the total area of which is 970648 ha, of which 802604 ha are international, 168044 ha are promising. Particular attention is paid to wetlands located in the Sumy region, namely the international - the Desna floodplain and the perspective - the Sula floodplain, the floodplain of the middle part of the river Psel (Vorozhbianske), the upper reaches of the river Bytytsya (Vakalivske), the Vorskla floodplain (Vorsklinskaya). In conclusion, the authors point to the need to explore the Seimas Basin, namely the floodplains as the most wetland in the region, within the Seimas Regional Landscape Park, which is the largest regional landscape park in Ukraine and the largest nature reserve in the region requiring detailed mooring and a description of information on compliance with the Ramsar criteria and the possibility of recognizing the Seim River floodplain as a promising wetland of Ukraine.uk_UA
