dc.description.abstractРозглянуто основні географічні чинники перебігу подій сучасної російсько-української війни. Відзначено, що такими чинниками є ландшафт, характер кордонів, етноконфесійний склад населення й особливості господарського комплексу прикордонних реґіонів, транспортна мережа. Зауважено, що поліський ландшафт явив перешкоду для руху російських військ до Києва, тоді як степовий ландшафт півдня України сприяв їхньому просуванню до Каховської ГЕС і Запорізької АЕС. Іншим географічним чинником поразки Росії під Києвом стала слабка розвиненість транспортних комунікацій на північ від столиці. Конфігурація українсько-російського кордону зробила найбільш вразливою територію Луганської області, що виразно проявилося при повномасштабному російському вторгненні в Україну. Наголошено, що етноконфесійні особливості прикордоння, які мали істотне значення на початку війни у 2014 р., втратили вагу в ході її ескалації у 2022 р.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractFunctioning of market relations is closely connected with the formation and development of It has been emphasized that the topic of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which marked a new escalation of the war unleashed by the Kremlin aggressor in 2014, is relevant, including the geographical context. The main geographical factors of the current Russian-Ukrainian war were considered. It has been noted that landscape, nature of the borders, ethnical-confessional composition of the population of the border regions and the peculiarities of their economic complex, and development of transport communications belong to these factors. It is noticed that Polisia landscape with a humid climate and considerable forest cover hindered the movement of the Russian troops to Kyiv, while the steppe landscape of southern Ukraine (characterized by dry climate and woodless area), on the contrary, promoted their advance in the North to Kakhovka water power plant and Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. Another geographical factor of Russia's defeat near Kyiv was the poor development of transport communications to the north of the Ukrainian capital. It is emphasized that impassable roads turned out to be detrimental to the Russian tanks, which forced them to move only on the roads. The configuration of the Ukrainian-Russian border made the territory of Luhansk region the most vulnerable, surrounded by Russia from three sides, which was clearly evident during this year’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. As of April 2022, Ukraine controls a small part of Luhansk region, which enters wedge-like deep into the temporarily occupied territory. It is emphasized that ethnical and confessional features of the Ukrainian-Russian border, which were significant at the beginning of the war in 2014, lost their importance during the escalation in 2022. It is stressed that one of the consequences of the hostilities is the temporary seizure of some strategic facilities on the territory controlled by Ukraine, including nuclear power plants. It is noted that the area of the land suitable for sowing has decreased due to the war. These are, in particular, the temporarily occupied territories; territories located in the combat zone, and territories subject to demining.uk_UA
